Assisting Priest

This is a part-time position that will work alongside the Rector to help carry forward the mission of God at Harbor Anglican through a variety of responsibilities. The Assisting Priest must be ordained or willing to be ordained in the Diocese of the Rocky Mountains. The ideal Assisting Priest will be a man who not only meets the qualifications as laid out in I Timothy 3 and Titus 1, but whose life is marked by a joyful devotion to Christ and love for people that is sustained through deep study of Scripture and daily prayer. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess skills in administration, clear communication, planning and executing ministry programs, willingness to take personal initiative, and leadership ability to recruit, train, and mentor ministry teams.

The Assisting Priest’s duties include:

• Assisting in the liturgy as a co-celebrant each Sunday

• Preaching once a month

• Connecting with visitors and integrating them into the life of our parish

• Helping to oversee and develop Harbor Groups, Harbor Events, & Harbor Outreach

• Engaging in pastoral care

• Engaging in teaching and catechesis

• Helping to develop ministries as the church grows

Compensation: $50,000/year
